Bears' Jaquan Brisker Tweets Reaction to Packers' Playoff Loss
By Thomas Erbe
As much as they and their fans wanted to, the Chicago Bears were unable to end the Green Bay Packers' playoff hopes when they met at Lambeau Field in the last game of the regular season. Head coach Matt Eberflus and his players hoped to finish the year on the highest note possible by knocking the Packers out and letting them know next year would be different. However, Green Bay won and continued on.
Their run came to an end in the Divisional Round as they lost to the San Francisco 49ers. Kicker Anders Carlson missed a field goal that would have put the Packers up by seven late in the game. And after 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy marched his team down the field to take the lead with just over a minute to go, Packers quarterback Jordan Love took the ball and threw a very Brett Favre-like interception to end the game.
Bears fans rejoiced seeing Green Bay go down. But they were not alone in their excitement.
Jaquan Brisker laughs after Packers loss.
Bears safety Jaquan Brisker sent a tweet after the game implying asking the Packers if they planned on going to Turks and Caicos or Cancun for their offseason. This came on the heels of Brisker making his feelings about the Packers and their players public after their last matchup.
The Packers obviously have had the Bears' number for the last two decades plus in this rivalry. But all those years and domination have still only resulted in two Super Bowl victories (1996 & 2010) since the Bears' last win in 1985.
Brisker and his crew will be looking to turn the tides of the rivalry, starting next season.
