Chicago Bears fans won’t have to wait long to see the No. 1 overall pick and the rest of the team as they will kick off the 2024 preseason.

The Bears announced on Tuesday that they were chosen to take on the Houston Texans in the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, OH. The game will happen on Thursday, Aug. 1, at 8 p.m. ET.

The last time the Bears played in the Hall of Game was in 2018 when they faced the Baltimore Ravens.

It’s not surprising to see Chicago get picked for this honor as they have three former players going into the Hall of Fame this year – Julius Peppers, Devin Hester, and Steve McMichael.

With the Hall of Fame Game being the first preseason game, fans shouldn’t expect to see the starters play a ton.

However, with the Bears likely taking Caleb Williams with the first pick, it will be a good chance for fans to get a first look at the future franchise quarterback. Also, unlike the rest of the league, Chicago and Houston will have four preseason games because of them playing in Canton at the beginning of August.
