Cornerback (6): Jaylon Johnson, Tyrique Stevenson, Kyler Gordon, Jaylon Jones, Terrell Smith, Josh Blackwell

For a while, it seemed as though the Bears were going to be parting with Jaylon Johnson. They wisely didn't do this and instead agreed to a four-year deal worth $76 million to keep their No. 1 cornerback on the roster.

As good as Tyrique Stevenson and Kyler Gordon can be, they're not ready for that role just yet. By keeping Johnson, the Bears have a deep unit that can keep up with any team.

Safety (5): Jaquan Brisker, Kevin Byard, Jonathan Owens, Elijah Ricks, Tarvarious Moore

Over the past two seasons, Jaquan Brisker has proven to be a game-changer. He has 209 tackles, 11 pass defenses, three forced fumbles, and two picks for the Bears. He's joined by free agent addition Kevin Byard, who will bring some much-needed veteran leadership to the secondary. The same is true of Jonathan Owens, who had a big season in 2023 for the Green Bay Packers.

Specialists (3): Cairo Santos, Tory Taylor, Patrick Scales

A long-time veteran, Cairo Santos has been kicking in the NFL since 2014 and enters his sixth season with the Bears. He's often overlooked but shouldn't be since he's one of the more consistent kickers in the NFL. Santos drilled 35-of-38 kicks in 2023 and is now 113-for-125 during his time in The Windy City (an impressive 90.4 percent).

At punter, Tory Taylor gets the call after being drafted in Round 4. Not many punters get selected in the NFL Draft but the Australian punter was an absolute stud for Iowa and even had his name called in the second round of the CFL Draft.

Patrick Scales remains at long snapper, holding the job down since 2015.
