AFC Team Could Make Huge Mistake With Luke Getsy

There is still someone out there that believes Luke Getsy is a good offensive coordinator. Good luck with that.

Luke Getsy was hired by the Chicago Bears to come from the hated Green Bay Packers and make their offense look similar to what the Packers have been doing for over 2 decades. Maybe he was still being paid by the Packers, because in the two years he was here the offense did not look any better - borderline worse.

He's since been fired, and the Bears will try again with new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, who comes over from being the OC in Seattle with the Seahawks.

Getsy is now unemployed and looking for his new venture. Apparently, there is a team out west that feels he could jolt their offense, much like the Bears believed he could for them.

Raiders Plan to Interview Getsy for OC Job

Via the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Las Vegas Raiders are planning to interview Getsy for their offensive coordinator opening. Pelissero cited that the Raiders are probably interested in Getsy because of his run game, which had the Bears ranked tops in the league in rushing.

Godspeed, Vegas. The only in-person reference they have to Getsy's offense from last year is when Tyler Bagent was the Bears quarterback and D'Onta Foreman rushed for 3 touchdowns.

They must have no idea how reliant he is on screen passes that go absolutely nowhere. Or his plan to have 180-pound slot receivers blocking the biggest defensive linemen in the league. Or his criminal mismanagement of quarterback Justin Fields and ignorance to wide receiver DJ Moore's abilities.

If that's what sounds good to you, Vegas, be my guest. Enjoy the basement of that division for a long, long time.
