Betting the Wide Receivers

Rookie WR Rome Odunze is going to be a superstar someday. How many targets and receptions will he get behind Keenan Allen and DJ Moore? Nobody knows and I will stay away from investing in Odunze until we have some data.

Result: Don't bet Odunze.

DJ Moore is quarterback-proof. With Fields, Moore put up career highs in yards (1364), yards per game (80.2), touchdowns (8), and receptions (96). What could he do with Williams? Even more. He will be guarded closely by Sneed, but Moore will get him, and Keenan Allen will take some pressure off.

Result. Bet Moore, +70 yards at +125.

Cole Kmet has been every Bears' quarterback's safety net since he entered the league. Swift may take some of those check down targets away from him, but, if Williams and offensive coordinator Shane Waldron are smart, they will involve Kmet heavily in the offense. Kmet had career highs in 2023 in yards (719), receptions (73), and yards per game (42.3).

Result: Bet Kmet, +25 yards at +100.

Keenan Allen had a career year last season (108 receptions, 95.6 yards per game, and second most yards in career with 1243) and has seen many Pro Bowls in his time in the league. He will be stellar with the Bears, but we don't know how the targets will be divided between everyone and how rapport will develop with Williams (actually, we don't know what rapport Williams has with anyone just yet). Let's wait and see before putting money on Allen.

Result: Don't Bet Allen.
