6. Dominique Robinson, EDGE

Find someone who loves you the way the Chicago Bears seemingly love Dominique Robinson.

Why can't I quit you?

There's a word that gets a lot of NFL executives into trouble, and it starts with a "p"...Potential. There are a lot of players in the NFL who have great potential, but they never realize it for one reason or another. The Bears don't have to be quick to dismiss players like Dominique Robinson, a day three pick back in the 2022 NFL Draft who certainly has loads of potential.

Robinson hasn't been activated for a single game yet this season for the Bears, who spent time in the preseason and offseason looking for additional help off the edge. They were in the market to potentially trade for Matthew Judon with the Patriots before the price got too high, and after that they pivoted to a trade with the Seahawks for Darrell Taylor.

And frankly, the Bears might have a new rusher with "potential" off the edge after the selection of Austin Booker in the 2024 NFL Draft. Booker was impressive in the preseason and at training camp, and could end up being a piece for this team as the season rolls along.

For now, Robinson has himself a 53-man roster spot, but I would be pretty shocked if he spends this entire season inactive and is somehow back on the team for 2025. The Bears might finally need to scrap their scouting report on him and allow him to potentially spread his wings and fly somewhere else, because the edge group could get a lot of attention next offseason.
