It's still very early in the 2024 season, but there are already a number of players who have a long way to go in earning their way into the good graces of the Chicago Bears and fans everywhere. Not that fans ultimately get to decide which players stay and which players go in a given year, but it does look like there might be some players early on this season who clearly aren't making the best case to be back in 2025.

Which Bears players are not only not contributing in 2024 but might be working their way out of the team's future plans? Which players have had such a bad start to the year that we're already looking ahead at the 2025 offseason when they could be gone?

Let's take a look at a handful of players on this roster.

Which Chicago Bears players won't be back in 2025 after brutal start in 2024?

1. Coleman Shelton, center

I'm not even sure the Chicago Bears could justify keeping Coleman Shelton out there for the remainder of the 2024 season, let alone think about bringing him back for 2025...

The Bears have done just about everything right when it comes to building around Caleb Williams. They've got a good defense, they brought in a bunch of weapons in the passing game, and they signed D'Andre Swift in hopes that they could run the ball effectively.

The problem is, the Bears haven't done nearly enough on the offensive line to be able to effectively support Caleb Williams, who has now been sacked at least three times in three straight games. Sacks are not all on the offensive line but when you watch Coleman Shelton play, you can see that it's probably not going to be sustainable for this Bears offensive line going forward.

My guess is, the offensive line will be one of the team's top priorities this offseason, starting right smack in the middle.
