With expectations as high as they've been in a long time, it's going to be fun to see how Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus end up assembling this overall roster. The Bears are at a point right now where they might even have enough roster depth and quality talent overall to be able to trade a player or two away if everyone stays healthy.

For a team that has moved around a lot of draft picks in recent years, having the extra capital wouldn't hurt. Of course, the situation has to be right, and so does the compensation. You just never know when players are going to run out of time in an NFL city and the Bears have a number of players who might be attractive trade pieces in 2024.

Which players might be on the block heading into 2024 training camp?

1. Tyler Scott, wide receiver

It's no secret that the Chicago Bears have gotten a lot better at the wide receiver position over the course of the 2023 and 2024 offseasons. They made the blockbuster trade last year for star receiver DJ Moore and then went out and got both Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze for Caleb Williams to throw the ball to in 2024.

It's going to be a fun year for the Chicago Bears' offense if those guys can all stay healthy, but where does that leave promising 2023 fourth-round pick Tyler Scott? The speedy receiver out of Cincinnati had 17 catches in his rookie season and is now going to be -- at best -- the fourth option at receiver for the Bears.

Considering Chicago has a couple of potential return specialists in DeAndre Carter and Velus Jones Jr., Scott is going to have to separate himself over the course of the offseason. If he plays well, the Bears win either way. They can keep him for depth or trade him to a team desperate for help at receiver.
