5. Mike Evans: Wide Receiver, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With the addition of D.J. Moore last year, the Bears have found their true No.1 receiver at a reasonable price. However, that is the only wide receiver worthy of building around.

Darnell Mooney is a free agent, Chase Claypool was a bust, Tyler Scott has a lot of growth and development to do, Equinimious St. Brown is a reliable depth piece and blocker, and Velus Jones has been very inconsistent and is already a bust.

The point is that the Bears need a true receiver to pair with Moore. The draft has many options, as Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze could fill that void. However, if the Bears decide to take Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, then there is a slim to none chance that one of those players will be there at No. 9 overall.

Star wide receiver Mike Evans is the logical option if the Bears sign someone in free agency. Giving a rookie quarterback two legitimate weapons at receiver would be great for their development.
