The Chicago Bears have a lot of cap space and many holes on the roster to fill. Here are the five most important free agents the Bears should go after.

3. Connor Williams: C, Miami Dolphins

The Chicago Bears need to find a long-term solution at the center position. Cody Whitehair is gone, Dan Feeney is a decent backup, and Lucas Patrick is injured constantly.

There is a massive hole in the position. The draft is an option, but it is probably best to draft a center and sign a free agent.

The depth is needed. Drafting Jackson Powers-Johnson (Oregon), Sedrick Van Pran (Georgia), or Zach Frazier (West Virginia) would help address the problem.

However, if the Bears draft a rookie quarterback, it would be best to have a veteran center snap the ball. Conor Williams would be the perfect addition because he fits Chicago's offensive scheme. He will be 27 years old in May and potentially can come at a cheaper price due to being placed on season-ending IR for an ACL tear.

Outside of Darnell Wright, the Bears have no clear answer elsewhere on the line. An argument is conceivable regarding Braxton Jones, but adding both a draft pick and Connor Williams would solidify the center position for the first time in a long time.

Lastly, the interior offensive line as a whole needs to be reworked. It is hard to rely on Teven Jenkins and Nate Davis to stay healthy, so that would be the next position on the line to focus on. If healthy, the position will strengthen the team moving forward.
