5 Bulls Leaving Chicago in the New Year
5. Torrey Craig
Torrey Craig, who's likely sidelined for two months with a plantar fascia injury, is another prime trade candidate in Chicago.
The veteran forward was solid for the Bulls before his injury, averaging 6.1 points and 4.8 rebounds while nailing 38.2% of his shots from downtown through the first 27 games. He isn't the type of player to wow you, but his solid two-way game makes him the type of player that contenders love to come playoff time to help round out the rotation.
On top of the 33-year-old only carrying a cap hit just north of $2.58 million this season, Craig has a $2.84 million player option for 2024-25. That means any team interested in his services would have some flexibility for a sign-and-trade in the offseason if he decides to opt into his option.
Craig has played well when he's been healthy, but he isn't a must-keep player by any means. If the Bulls can get anything in return for him ahead of Feb. 8, it'd be in their best interest to pull the trigger.
