5 Bulls Leaving Chicago in the New Year
4. Andre Drummond
Surprise, surprise: Andre Drummond has also been involved in trade rumors this season.
It shouldn't come as a surprise, though. Drummond is essentially the perfect rental player for a deadline trade. He's on an expiring contract that only carries a $3.36 million cap hit, making him ideal for contending teams who don't have a ton of cap space to play with.
Drummomd's no longer an everyday starter, but he still provides a solid presence in the paint. He's averaging 6.8 points on 53.0% shooting while putting up 7.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals on 14.5 minutes per game. He's also recorded double-digit rebound totals seven times, including when he amassed 25 against the Atlanta Hawks on Dec. 26.
With Drummond being another player looking for his first NBA title ring, I'd be surprised if the Bulls don't move him by the trade deadline. He might not bring in the biggest return, but he can likely get Chicago a decent future asset or two — especially if multiple teams bid against each other.
