5 Bulls Leaving Chicago in the New Year

With the Bulls potentially heading for another rebuild, change seems to be inevitable. Here are five players who are likely leaving Chicago at some point in 2024.

3. Alex Caruso

As the rumors of a potential rebuild grew throughout the season, Alex Caruso was another name that was thrown into the rumor mill.

Assuming the Bulls will blow it all up, it isn't hard to see why Caruso would garner a ton of attention. The "Bald Mamba" is someone who does a little of everything, averaging 9.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.7 blocks while shooting 44.8% from the three-point line. He's also under contract for $9.46 million this season and $9.89 million next year, making him an absolute steal for what he brings to the table.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported on Dec. 11 that the Bulls have "shut down those calls" when it comes to a potential Caruso trade, but never say never. As much as the 29-year-old elevates Chicago's backcourt, everybody has a price and it's hard to imagine that the team would be willing to move LaVine and/or DeRozan but not Caruso.

We've seen in the past where a team didn't want to move Player X but eventually traded them at a later date. Assuming that Caruso continues to draw interest, the Bulls just might have to change their mind if the price is right.
