5 Bears That Need to be More Involved Ahead of Sunday Night Football

The Bears were able to come back against the Titans in Week one for the win, but they will need to be much better to pull off an upset this week in prime time against the Houston Texans.

5. Nate Davis, RG

Say what you want about Nate Davis and his willingness to practice or constant injury concerns, when he is on the field he is one of the better offensive linemen for the Bears. Coleman Shelton looked absolutely awful at center so we will have to see if he continues there or we possibly get Ryan Bates at the position. Davis and Bates were switching out throughout the game which was apparently the plan according to head coach Matt Eberflus. Bates had 38 snaps last Sunday compared to Davis' 18.

If healthy, Davis should see a lot more snaps at guard this week and if we continue to see struggles from Shelton at center we will likely see Bates get some reps there. Whatever the case is, the Bears need to figure out the interior offensive line quickly as the last thing they need is immediate pressure in Caleb Williams' face as works to develop.

The good news is the Titans look to have one of the better interior defensive lines in football so hopefully the Bears aren't the only team to struggle with them on the interior.
