The defense was blindsided by a Packers team that was ready to play while the Cowboys looked like they were sleepwalking. Blame can be spread to quarterback Dak Prescott and the offensive side of the ball, but the defense did them no favors with their performance.

Every year, it seems we go into the season hearing how it's the Cowboy's year and end it by explaining what went wrong. Owner Jerry Jones said he trusts Mike McCarthy and believes this team will get it done. But he also openly stated he'd love to have Bill Belichick as his head coach.

Regardless, Jones, McCarthy, and the rest of the team feel they are ready for a championship and just missing a few key pieces. Jones is probably at the point where he's prepared to irresponsibly spend to put the Cowboys over the top for a short amount of time.
