Ryan Poles wants to build this team through the trenches, so if they trade down, another great option out of Penn State is Olumuyiwa Fashanu.

Now, the tackle position is not necessary by any stretch of the imagination. But the potential opportunity to upgrade should not go unnoticed.

Darnell Wright is a phenomenal player at right tackle, and Braxton Jones has proven a reliable option. Is he deemed to be a starter in the league? Yes, but he is, at best, a reliable starter with little potential to be a Pro Bowler.

If the Bears trade down and Fashanu is there, the Bears need to take him. To have Fashanu and Wright as your starters and Braxton as the swing tackle would be an enormous improvement and make the position one of the best on the football team.

Tackle is a premium position in football, and it's an expensive role that teams pay for. To have three rookie contracts at the position would be ideal for Ryan Poles.

Like Robinson, Fashanu is also an athletic freak. His RAS is proof of that.

The prototypical lineman that the Bears can benefit from. An elite pass-protector, a valuable run-blocker, and a great foundation that can continue to grow and develop.

With the Bears adding a rookie quarterback to the mix, it is important to add top-tier talent that can provide an amazing opportunity for a successful career. Fashanu is that elite talent that can provide stability at the second most important position in football.

If Fashanu is still on the board, it would be hard for Poles to pass on that opportunity.
