3 NFC North Rivals the Bears Can Steal in Free Agency
3. Josh Reynolds, WR (Lions)
We talked about the Bears needing to raise the floor at the wide receiver position this offseason, and there are multiple ways they could do that by stealing from within their own division.
Over the last handful of years, Josh Reynolds has come over to the Lions from the Rams and actually been a very underrated playmaker for them. Although Reynolds doesn't receive a ton of fanfare, you can look at Jared Goff in Detroit before Reynolds arrived versus after he arrived, and the difference in the level of play for Goff is actually staggering.
Not that Reynolds was solely responsible for Goff's success, but having a familiar face like that certainly helped.
And Reynolds continued to develop his game as well in Detroit. He averaged 15.2 yards per reception and matched a career-best with five touchdowns last season. There's no question that Reynolds is a reliable third or fourth option at the receiver position, and with the Bears likely bringing in a new quarterback this offseason, his ability to move the chains and create big plays could be coveted by Bears GM Ryan Poles.
