Blaine Gabbert, QB

Another member of the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs who could be helpful for the Bears next year is Blaine Gabbert. The veteran quarterback was the backup to Patrick Mahomes last season and was in Tampa Bay with Tom Brady before then. The 34-year-old has extensive experience as a signal-caller in the NFL and he could use that to mentor the next franchise quarterback in Chicago.

Gabbert has a career record of 14-35 as a starting QB. That obviously leaves plenty to be desired but if all goes according to the plan, the former first-round pick will not be starting too many games in Chicago.

The only quarterbacks currently on the roster are Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien. It is clear that a veteran mentor is needed as the backup before the season starts. The two-time Super Bowl winner Blaine Gabbert is one of the best and most affordable options out there.
