2. Robert Tonyan

Tonyan saw his Bears’ tenure ended after one season as the team replaced him with Gerald Everett this offseason, who is reunited with new Chicago offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

The veteran pass catcher signed a one-year, $2.65 million last offseason with Chicago after spending the first five years of his career with the Green Bay Packers.

Tonyan didn’t do much as Bears TE2 this past season, posting 11 receptions (17 targets) for 112 yards. The 29-year-old tight end hasn’t been able to replicate his 2020 campaign where he blew up and scored a career-high 11 touchdowns.

That said, Tonyan could be a solid TE2 for a team that knows how to use their tight ends in the passing game.

For example, the Arizona Cardinals or Seattle Seahawks could use Tonyan as their TE2s are Elijah Higgins (Arizona) and Pharaoh Brown (Seattle). It would not be surprising to see both teams draft a tight end because of this. However, if those teams don’t draft a tight end, Tonyan could become a nice one-year signing.
