3 Chicago Bears with the most to prove during the final three games

There are three games left in the season for the Bears and no chance at the playoffs. That doesn't mean these guys should be taking their foot off the gas.

Jaylon Johnson is still looking to get paid.

For over a calendar year now, we have heard about the Bears and cornerback Jaylon Johnson being in ongoing discussions about a potential contract extension. We have heard positive reports, negative reports, trade requests - just about every angle and outcome there is.

You can bet Johnson will still be out there on the field playing the best he can. He does not care about what place in the draft the Bears end up in. He cares about becoming the highest-paid corner in the league - as he deserves.

31 tackles, 4 interceptions (1 returned for a touchdown), and it is well-known how feared he is as a defender because he could go games at a time without his assignment getting a ball thrown their way. This man is on a mission, and he openly wants to stay in Chicago playing for the Bears.

There are three games left for Johnson to suit up and pad those stats. He knows those interception numbers could be - and should be - higher and he'll be hawking for that ball against some subpar quarterbacks. Whether this ends up being for a franchise tag, an extension, or a new contract with a new team, Johnson's play in these next three games is important for his future.
