The Chicago Bulls made the shocking move to trade Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Josh Giddey. Moving away from the 30-year-old veteran who was entering the final year of his contract made sense, but the return absolutely didn't. The Bulls should have preferred draft capital over adding another offense-only guard into the mix.

Yet, it is a great sign that the Bulls have seemingly accepted reality to an extent. Even if they will not prioritize draft picks as much as Bulls fans would prefer, they will presumably continue to get younger and enter a new era.

With this objective in mind, we can expect more moves from general manager Arturas Karnisovas. Here are three Bulls players who are likely next in line to be moved.

1. Lonzo Ball

The Bulls now have Coby White, Josh Giddey, and Ayo Dosunmu in their backcourt. If Zach LaVine isn't traded, he will also eat a significant portion of minutes at the shooting guard. There just isn't much space for Lonzo Ball anymore.

Plus, Ball hasn't played basketball since January 2022. He went through three serious surgeries on his knee in that span. Whether he can stay healthy or be an effective player again is a massive question. He is still only 26 years old and can potentially bounce back but it is hard to see him make an impact next season.

Ball opted into his $21.4 million player option for the 2024-25 season. He could either be used in a potential trade or be bought out by the Bulls. Going to a team where he can find minutes and slowly reintegrate into the NBA makes a ton of sense.
