2. Darnell Mooney, WR

Another Bears starter who is getting replaced in the 2024 NFL Draft, in all likelihood, is starting wide receiver Darnell Mooney.

Just like with Justin Fields, including Darnell Mooney on this list is a little bit of "low-hanging fruit" because he's a pending unrestricted free agent. It's not likely the Bears are going to bring Mooney back, meaning they're going to have to find a way to replace the guy who played the second-most snaps out of any receiver on the team last season (behind only DJ Moore).

As fun as Mooney's run with the Bears was for a short bit, it's safe to say this team is in a position to upgrade with that 9th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Depending on what happens in picks 2-8, the Bears could be looking at one or multiple of LSU's Malik Nabers, Washington's Rome Odunze, or in a crazy scenario maybe even Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr.

The Bears could even take a page out of Houston's book last year and try to trade up for one of those guys to pair with Caleb Williams, giving them multiple elite prospects from this class.

Chicago will soon have to extend DJ Moore as well, but whoever ranks second on this team at wide receiver in total snaps in 2024 will likely be someone the Bears draft this offseason.
