1. D'Andre Swift, RB

Nearly as soon as the legal tampering period opened this offseason, the Bears announced a huge signing. D'Andre Swift, who just had his first 1,000-yard season with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, was signing a three-year deal worth $24 million.

His addition gave them someone familiar with the NFC North since he spent the first three seasons of his career with the Detroit Lions before being traded to Philly. He's not only a capable back when running the ball but also could be dangerous as a receiver. In four years, he has 1,198 yards and seven touchdowns on 156 receptions.

His addition was also supposed to be a huge help for Williams since he could lean on the back instead of being left with all the heavy lifting. The problem is that in Week 1, Swift didn't do anything to take the pressure off the signal-caller.

Swift had just 30 yards rushing on 10 attempts and recorded no receptions. What's worse is that he had a 20 yard run, meaning on the remaining nine attempts, he managed 10 yards.

As bad as that is, Swift was far from the only one who struggled. Khalil Herbert managed four yards on two attempts and Travis Homer went for 10 yards on two carries. In all, they ended up with 84 yards rushing on 22 attempts but D.J. Moore gaining 14 yards on his lone attempt and Caleb Williams picking up 15 on five rushes had a lot to do with that.

Swift is being paid to be a difference maker and he needs to prove in a hurry he can be that.
