The Chicago Bears are expected to have one of the best rosters that the franchise has ever seen in 2026. However, it is fair to remember that while that is the projection, none of the players have quite come into their own yet. The most recent All-PFF team featuring the best Bears players can confirm.
Current Chicago Bears are absent from the All-Bears PFF team
The team featured the best players in Bears history since 2006, when PFF began its grading. While the Bears were not known to have a great roster over the past 20 years, and their roster looks a lot stronger now, there was a small number of current Bears on the list.
Darnell Wright made the group at right tackle, and Cole Kmet made it, but only because the team carried two tight ends. The rest of the current Bears are still earning their way into Bears history.
Caleb Williams is expected to pass Jay Cutler, and already has in some Bears fans' minds. However, PFF still grades Cutler out higher. At skill player, the Bears have exciting young talent. However, Kyle Monangai, Luther Burden, and Rome Odunze have not done anything quite like what Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, and Matt Forte did.
Colston Loveland needs another year or two before he can be in the conversation with Martellus Bennett as well.
On the offensive line, both Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney would have stronger cases if they spent more than one year with the Bears. They are starting a new center, and their left tackle spot is in flux, so those would not be considered. Quarterback is the only debatable position on offense.
The defensive line takes a lot of heat on the current Bears roster, so it would be hard to include any of those names. Montez Sweat has been good, but not quite on the level of Julius Peppers or Khalil Mack.
The team has TJ Edwards as a staple at linebacker, but Chicago features Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs, making it tough to crack the group.
Kyler Gordon has not been healthy enough to unseat Bryce Callahan in the slot. Jaylon Johnson was considered, but was pushed behind Tim Jennings and Charles Tillman.
Both of the current Bears safeties are new, and the previous two were not with the team long enough. So, a lot of names like Williams, Loveland, Burden, Johnson, and Dillon Thienman hope to join the list. This current team is still based on potential.
