The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and the rumors haven't stopped for a second. The Chicago Bears have been consistently talked about, as they are reportedly looking to trade up in the first round. Many people assume they are eyeing Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, who is universally considered one of the best players in this class.

While nothing has been confirmed, it looks like the Bears want to add more explosion to their backfield. Whether or not they can get high enough to draft Jeanty remains to be seen, but another star running back may be up for grabs.

Josina Anderson reported that the New York Jets have entertained the idea of moving running back Breece Hall “within the last week and a half.”

Breece Hall Could Be On the Trade Block

Hall is entering the final year of his rookie deal after spending the first three years with the New York Jets. With a new regime in control, with Aaron Glenn as the head coach and Darren Mougey as the general manager, no one's spot is locked in.

Regardless, Hall is one of the most electric and dynamic players at the position. He has shown the ability to take a carry 60-plus yards to the house with ease while being a reliable pass catcher out of the backfield.

In 40 career games, the Iowa State product has logged 2,333 rushing yards and 14 rushing scores. He also has 152 receptions for 1,292 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He is entering the final year of his rookie deal, so he would be eyeing a new deal.

If the Jets are really looking to move Hall, the Bears should certainly consider it. It would cost less draft capital to trade for Hall instead of trading up to at least No. 5 to grab Jeanty.

This is what the NFL Draft is all about. Rumors and chaos. And this one could have an impact on the Bears.
