The Chicago Bears will learn their complete 17-game schedule on Thursday night. There have been a handful of announcements on Monday concerning individual matchups throughout the season, and one involves a key matchup for the Bears and the Green Bay Packers.

With Ben Johnson and the Bears expecting to be a threat in the division once the 2025 season kicks off, the location of their second matchup against their longtime rivals from Green Bay could be a pivotal showdown for both playoff hopefuls. There is no more need for speculation as that game will take place during Week 16 at Soldier Field.

Avoiding a late-season game at Lambeau Field is a win whenever it happens. With the two sides scheduled to face off in Chicago in Week 16, it would make sense that the Bears' trip to face the Packers in Wisconsin will come in the first half of the 2025 schedule, making the weather a factor that will not play the same type of role it would in Green Bay in December.

With Chicago, Green Bay, and Minnesota expected to be in the hunt for one of the likely two playoff spots coming out of the NFC North, these little wins could pay major dividends for the Bears down the stretch. Chicago could be battling against the Packers and Vikings in the standings in the closing weeks. Having this particular game in front of their fans they will receive a boost of energy from the crowd.

The Bears have made several moves this offseason to improve their roster and make their new-look offense more dangerous. With OTAs and training camp on the horizon, the excitement level among fans will only continue to grow. We can expect plenty of predictions on how their season will shake out once their full schedule is released.
