The Chicago Bears have made some big changes to the roster over the past few months. With Ben Johnson calling the shots, the offense has been able to add difference makers to that side of the ball.

Chicago drafted WR Luther Burden III with the 39th overall pick in April's draft. That now gives them a trio of D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, and Burden III. This is definitely a unit that could do some special things, and with Chicago looking ahead, they allowed Keenan Allen to hit free agency.

Last March, the Bears traded a 2024 fourth-round pick to the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for Allen. Chicago was hoping the addition of the veteran pass catcher would help Caleb Williams in his rookie season.

Allen was a solid weapon, but he wasn't the game-breaker he was earlier in his career. Over 15 games in 2024, the 33-year-old had 70 receptions (121 targets) for 744 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. According to PFF, Allen finished with a 64.4 overall grade (70th among 98 graded receivers) and a 68.2 receiving grade (63rd among 98 graded receivers).

Allen is still a capable player, yet he remains on the open market. He will be going into his 13th year in the league, so he doesn't need to be at minicamp and OTAs. The California product will keep himself in shape and could look to land with a team before training camp.

OTAs around the NFL will be taking place over the next two weeks. Allen has made it known that he would like to return to Los Angeles and play for either the Rams or Chargers. At this point, neither team has made the jump to add Allen.

Things can change on any day, but with OTAs happening around the league, Allen hasn't signed with any team.
