The Bears looked dominant in a 36-15 Week 6 win over the Jaguars in London, though that's not stopping one beloved former player from calling out general manager Ryan Poles.

Chicago, perhaps infamously, let David Montgomery walk in free agency after the 2022 season. Montgomery has 17 TDs already with the Lions and just inked a two-year, $18.25 million extension with Detroit.

Tarik Cohen, who spent four years with the Bears and earned All-Pro honors in the process, took to social media to directly attack Poles, calling him "stupid" in an explosive post.

While the 2023 season was a disappointing one, the Bears' rushing attack has remained stout even after Montgomery's departure. D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson, and Khalil Herbert make up one of the NFL's best running back rooms, and it's clear the offense is trending in the right direction under Caleb Williams.

Even still, Montgomery would still be welcome i the locker room. During his four years with the organization, he rushed for 3,609 yards with 26 TDs while adding another 1,240 yards and four scores through the air.

He's one of the league's most dynamic red-zone weapons and clearly made a big impact with the Lions. Cohen was a First-Team All-Pro in 2018, so his voice carries some weight. He hasn't played a game since 2020 though, when Montgomery was on the team, and it makes sense that he'd want to support his old teammate.

This Bears squad is firmly in the playoff hunt regardless. Chicago has a surging offense and one of the NFL's top defenses. Montgomery found greener pastures in Detroit but that doesn't necessarily mean he'd raise the ceiling of his old franchise.

Cohen is well within his rights to criticize Poles, but this is the most exciting start to a season the Bears have experienced in years. Perhaps next time Cohen should celebrate Chicago instead of attacking one of the architects of this dramatic turnaround.
