The NFC North is one of the toughest divisions in the league. The Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions all made the playoffs as the Bears watched from home.

Chicago is hoping that isn't the case going forward. The Bears were able to hire Ben Johnson to become their next head coach. That move was praised due to Johnson being an elite offensive mind and one of the best coaching candidates this cycle.

Not only was the move raved by members of the media, but Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney also gave the Bears props for the addition.

McKinney was a guest on the NFL Spotlight with Ari Meirov and discussed how tough the NFC North is. The conversation shifted to the Packers/Bears rivalry and he gave the Bears their flowers.

"I think the Bears are going to have a really good team, especially having him [Johnson] now. But we accept the challenge and we can't wait to compete with these teams every year."

This past season, the Packers and Bears split the season series 1-1. The games were determined by three points total. McKinney knows there's talent on that roster but coaching was the biggest thing holding them back.

With Johnson now at the helm, they have a creative offensive mind that will elevate this roster. Chicago already has a bunch of difference-makers on the defensive side, and now it's about maximizing that potential.

Johnson's name has been a hot topic for the past two years. There were rumors that he was eyeing this job last year but Chicago decided to give Eberflus another chance. That was definitely the wrong decision, but thankfully, Johnson was still available.

Even though this is his first time being a head coach, the excitement is through the roof. Even rivals see the potential of this Bears team. And that's something fans have been waiting for.
