The Chicago Bears are 4-2 on the season. After starting 1-2, the Bears have reeled off three straight wins. Last week, they blew out the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-16 over in London. The offense has found a spark and elevated their play.

Chicago is now heading into their bye week with some momentum but their chances of winning the NFC North took a significant jump following a disastrous injury to Detroit Lions EDGE Aidan Hutchinson.

NFL News: Aidan Hutchinson is Out for 4-6 Months

Hutchinson suffered a broken tibia and fibula against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. The Michigan product is now expected to have a 4-6 month recovery. He's their best player on defense and was making a case for the Defensive Player of the Year award. The 24-year-old was leading the NFL in sacks (7.5) with 12 solo tackles and a forced fumble.

Now the Lions will have to find a way to replace the elite production and that won't be easy. While that is a massive loss for Detroit, that is good news for the Bears.

Chicago is going to play against Detroit in Weeks 13 and 16 and won't have to deal with Hutch. The NFC North is one of the most competitive divisions in the league. Every team has four wins.

The Bears seemed to have gotten a spark and are feeling good. With Hutchinson out for the rest of the year, the Lions' defense will naturally take a step back. That is music to the ears of Bears fans and makes the path to the top of the division that much easier.
