With the NFL's respective training camps in full swing across the country, the hype and the buzz about the return of football is finally back in the air! With all 32 teams upon the threshold of a new beginning, the common goal of Super Bowl aspirations has been openly talked about. The Bears are no different, and on the eve of their second season with Ben Johnson serving as their head coach, Chicago hopes the team can improve upon their impressive 11-6 finish in 2025.
What separates the Bears from the rest of the league, is Ben Johnson.

Coach Johnson has been clear about his two goals for Chicago from the start: Beat the Packers twice a year, and bring Chicago back to the Super Bowl. But for Coach Johnson, his personal goals go beyond that.
Citing the 2013 Broncos, coach Johnson expresses a wish to overcome the best of the best. He wishes to carve a place for himself and his teams upon the history of the NFL. He's had an excellent swing at things so far, and Chicago fans are hopeful that he can keep the magic going in 2026.
Let's be clear. The goal that coach Johnson has in mind is not something that's easily done. It's not even something that's easily approached. The 2013 Broncos scored 207 points more than their opponents in the regular season. To put that into perspective, the Bears only managed to outscore their opponents by 26 points in the regular season.
The Seattle Seahawks were the team that had the best differential in the NFL in 2025 with +191 points, and they went on to win the Super Bowl. The level of offensive dominance that Johnson is talking about is one that hasn't been seen in Chicago since 1985.
If there's any man to do be the leader of men to do it, it's Ben Johnson. The man has a way about him that just oozes offensive dominance on a football field. He's also displayed several occasions where the general takeaway is that he's an absolute mad man. It's just another reason that Bears fans are happy to have Johnson at the helm as we navigate into the 2026 season.
