The Chicago Bears young core of players is the second-best group in the NFL, per Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report. Knox ranked the best groups of players that were 27 years of age and under, and noted that only one team had a better core than the Bears.

The Chicago Bears' future is bright with a young core

The only team that finished higher than the Bears was the Seattle Seahawks, who won the Super Bowl last year. However, when you break it down, the Bears have a bigger weapon at one of the most important positions in any sport. That is Caleb Williams, who is only 24 years old, but has won a playoff game and taken a major step in year two. Seattle is loaded with youth, but few teams have the high upside at quarterback to go with the loaded youth.

Notable players on the Bears who are 27 years old and under include Darnell Wright, Kyle Monangai, Luther Burden, Colston Loveland, Rome Odunze, Jaylon Johnson, Coby Bryant, Devin Bush, Kyler Gordon, and Dillon Thieneman. If you wanted to list off the Bears' ten best players, you would be seeing a lot of overlap.

These are major positions as well. A tackle, a quarterback, multiple passing game threats, and then multiple players who are built to stop the pass on the back end make up the bones of the roster. So, they are not only getting young talent, they are doing it at major areas of importance. It is hard to see the Bears' future as anything but bright.

The Bears have a nice blend of talent as well. They are not a young roster by any stretch, and are actually one of the ten oldest rosters in the NFL. They have a good mix of veterans, such as Grady Jarrett and Joe Thuney, who are valuable for such a young roster to set a standard of what brings long careers in the NFL.

So, while some older teams have a concern of whether they are all-in on this year or turning the page, the Bears are in a good spot where they have a strong enough roster to compete this year, but a young enough of a roster to maintain stability for the long term.

In the division, Green Bay ranked eighth while the Detroit Lions ranked 11th, so it does not look like these teams are going anywhere. Minnesota did rank 27th, though.
