Chicago Bears fans are not excited with offensive coordinator Shane Waldron as the offense has gone into a tailspin recently.

Over the last two weeks, the Bears have scored 24 total points against the Arizona Cardinals and the Washington Commanders. That’s a huge difference from Weeks 4-6, where the Bears had a three-game winning streak. During that win streak, the Bears were scoring 31.6 points per game.

Some fans want a change at offensive coordinator after Chicago’s mediocre performance in Week 9 against the Cardinals. However, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus isn’t willing to go that far yet.

Eberflus told reporters on Monday that Waldron will continue to call plays for the Bears’ offense, per ESPN's Courtney Cronin. The Bears' head coach didn’t blame Waldron, who is in his first year as the playcaller in the Windy City.

Eberflus instead made it clear that they will make changes, but it starts inwards.

"“The changes we're going to make is we're going to look inward and make sure we do a good job of utilizing our talents and our skill and really just general, basic execution of our plan," Eberflus said (h/t ESPN’s Courtney Cronin)”. “And we have to make sure we're doing that going forward, and we'll put that plan into place here in the next 48 hours.""

Waldron and Eberflus are under a lot of pressure as the Bears have the No. 1 overall pick in rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and a loaded offense at the skill positions. The Bears are ranked 19th in scoring (21.5 points per game) but 31st in third-down conversion percentage (31.5).

The Bears’ offense will look to turn things around on Sunday at Soldier Field against the New England Patriots. The Patriots’ defense has allowed 24.1 points per game this season (24th in the NFL).
