As the Chicago Bears continue to win games, the calls for the team to add on the defense will continue to get louder. One defensive pass rusher who could use a change of scenery is Felix Anudike-Uzomah of the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report.

Knox notes that a team that is contending with a need for a pass rusher should see if the former first-round pick is a welcome addition. The Bears fit the bill.

“Anudike-Uzomah would be well-served to land with another playoff-caliber team that can give him a prominent rotational role and a clearer path to a long-term role than he'll find in Kansas City,” wrote Knox.

Anudike-Uzomah has four sacks in four NFL seasons.

Chicago Bears could trade for Felix Anudike-Uzomah

Despite being drafted 31st overall in the 2023 NFL draft, Anudike-Uzomah has never been given a legitimate chance to get on the field for the Chiefs. He played in just 225 snaps as a rookie and logged 0.5 sacks.

He had a career-high 358 snaps in 2024 and had a career-high 2.5 sacks as well. However, he was unable to build on that. He suffered a season-ending injury in the 2025 offseason and did not get on the field. So, the Chiefs declined his fifth-year option.

He has one sack in his first three games back. However, he has only played 88 snaps and is a rotational player for the Chiefs.

The flashes and draft pedigree might draw some trade interest. The Chiefs could move on from Anudike-Uzomah without being sellers, so the move does make sense for them.

The question is whether the move makes sense for the Bears. They do need edge rusher help. Austin Booker has five pressures on 87 snaps this year. Dayo Odeyingbo has looked good coming back from his injury, but would be best in a rotation. They can take some work away from Montez Sweat to keep him fresh.

However, Anudike-Uzomah is a speed rusher. We know that Dennis Allen likes size in his edge rushers. That is why he plays James Lynch on the edge and wants to move Shemar Turner to the edge. He also tried to sign Marcus Davenport because he fits the size mold of Allen.

Anudike-Uzomah is similar to Austin Booker in size, but Allen did not draft Booker. If they want another speed rusher, he is a great fit for a low cost. We will see how much Allen values speed.
