The Chicago Bears made a couple of huge splashes in the 2025 NFL Draft, taking tight end Colson Loveland and wide receiver Luther Burden III with their first two picks, setting the tone for the rest of their draft.

However, with the draft now in the rearview mirror, the Bears are working on putting the finishing touches on their 90-man roster. Chicago is signing undrafted free agents and inviting multiple players to rookie minicamp.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC-2, the Bears are inviting Campbell University defensive back Isaiah Greene to their rookie minicamp. Wilson adds that the Philadelphia Eagles have also invited Campbell to their minicamp.

The 6-foot-1 defensive back spent the last two years at Campbell after starting his collegiate career at the JUCO ranks at Dodge City Community College in 2019. After playing at Dodge City, Greene took his talents to Central Connecticut State in 2021 and 2022.

The Newark, NJ native only appeared in five games in his first year (2021) at CCSU. However, in 2022, he recorded 47 tackles,  five pass breakups, 3.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and a blocked kick.

Finally, in his two years at Campbell, Greene racked up 30 total tackles, four pass deflections, and an interception. As you can imagine, Bears fans likely do not know much about Greene and what he brings to the field.

However, in an interview with NFL Draft Diamonds, Greene was asked about his favorite defensive scheme and instantly answered with man coverage.

"Man coverage, anything I can play man in is where I live, I’m a press-man corner and that’s where I make my money."

Chicago’s coaching staff will get a closer look at Greene’s press-man skills in rookie minicamp, which is scheduled for the first or second week in May. The former Campbell star has an uphill climb to make the 90-man roster, but he’s got an opportunity to show what he can do on the field.
