Bears defensive star Montez Sweat, who helped transform the unit after being acquired via trade last season, was reportedly frustrated with his limited role in a superb 35-16 Week 6 win in London over the Jaguars.

His irritation was purely in jest, as Sweat was more upset about how little he was needed than anything else. Chicago's offense routinely converted third-down opportunities, causing little need for Sweat to get involved and make a difference.

It's the perfect problem to have: a leader wanting a bigger role but recognizing that his teammates' stellar efforts made his excellence unnecessary.

Bears DE Montez Sweat Admits "Frustration" After Dominant Win

Speaking to the media after the game, Keenan Allen, who had two TDs in the win, said that he was "just talking to Montez.

He was like, 'man, I was getting frustrated. Y'all kept converting on third down, I was ready to go back out there. I’m trying to get a sack.' I’m like, yeah, it’s going to be like that sometimes. As long as everybody is complementing each other, special teams playing good, we’ve got a chance."

You can feel the improving chemistry in the air for this Chicago team. Sweat is joking, but it's a change of pace from the Bears squad from last year who relied on his excellence to stay in games. Now, Williams is leading the offense to new heights and Sweat's dominance isn't required.

Should the organization make the playoffs, Sweat and Allen will both be two of the most important players on the roster. Bears fans should be thrilled with a series of pivotal games against the Commanders, Cardinals, and Patriots waiting.

If Chicago can go 2-1 in those three contests, they'll be overwhelmingly favored to make the playoffs. As it stands, they're +4400 to win the Super Bowl at FanDuel Sportsbook. In a few weeks, that number might be closer to +2500 should the positive developments continue.
