Heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chicago Bears were already without starters Jaquan Brisker and Tyrique Stevenson. Brisker was ruled out earlier in the week with a concussion he suffered in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.

Meanwhile, Stevenson was a late addition to the Bears’ injury report with a calf injury on Thursday. The second-year cornerback was ultimately listed as doubtful on Friday’s final injury report being made inactive for Sunday’s game.

Without Brisker and Stevenson, the Bears’ secondary would depend on a couple of backups in Elijah Hicks and Jaylon Jones against the Jaguars’ passing game. To their credit, Hicks and Jones have held up vs. Jacksonville's playmakers.

But in the second half against Jacksonville, Chicago’s secondary was hit with another injury, this time to starting slot cornerback Kyler Gordon. According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Gordon was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

After being in the medical tent, Gordon was seen walking to the locker room with some assistance.

Before exiting Sunday’s game, the 24-year-old cornerback made plays all over the field. Gordon posted seven total tackles and a tackle for loss. With Gordon out for the rest of the contest, the Bears will lean on third-year cornerback Josh Blackwell.

Blackwell has appeared in all six games for the Bears, including Sunday's matchup against the Jags. When the clock reaches 0:00, we will wait to see if Chicago head coach Matt Eberflus has any additional updates on Gordon's injury.
