Bears Get Concerning WR Injury News to Begin Week 14 Practice
By Jovan Alford
The Chicago Bears desperately need a win after dropping their sixth consecutive game on Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions. That loss to the Lions caused a domino effect in the organization.
Chicago fired head coach Matt Eberflus and named offensive coordinator Thomas Brown the interim head coach. Meanwhile, Bears wide receiver Chris Beatty will take Brown’s spot and become the interim offensive coordinator.
The Bears hope the changes will help turn things around. But they are also banged up, which is not ideal heading into this weekend’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
According to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, wide receivers Keenan Allen and D.J. Moore were among six players who did not practice on Wednesday. Allen is dealing with an ankle injury, while Moore is banged up with a quad injury.

Allen is coming off a solid performance against the Lions on Thanksgiving, where he recorded five receptions (eight targets) for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Moore had eight receptions (16 targets) for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Over the last three weeks, Moore has seen an uptick in targets, averaging 10 per game. Bears fans shouldn’t be worried about Moore and Allen being on the injury report as they could return to practice on Thursday.
But if Allen and/or Moore don’t practice over the next two days, the Bears’ offense could be in trouble against a 49ers’ defense allowing 190 passing yards per game (fourth-fewest in the NFL).
The Bears are four-point road underdogs heading into their Week 14 matchup against San Francisco on DraftKings Sportsbook. However, that could change based on the injury report.
