Bears Coach Secretly Ripped by Players After Week 8 Commanders Disaster
By Cem Yolbulan
The Chicago Bears suffered their most embarrassing loss of the season when they lost to the Commanders on a last-second Hail Mary touchdown. It was a rough game for the coaching staff and Caleb Williams alike, but the Bears had managed to claw their way back into the game and take a late lead before squandering it.
Teams can lose games they are supposed to win. In any given season, every team lets a game or two slip away. That is understandable, especially for a young team like the Bears.
What is more concerning for Chicago is the aftermath of the loss. Multiple players have questioned the coaching staff and the playcalling since the loss.
Bears insider Courtney Cronin confirmed the reports after talking to several players. In her appearance on Around the Horn, Cronin gave a damning report on what the team is thinking about some of the decisions that were made on Sunday.
Cronin said that the things she heard from players were unprecedented. Considering that she started covering the Bears in 2022, the same season Matt Eberflus was hired, suggests that there has been a shift in perception in the locker room.
"What I've heard from players over the last 24 hours is something I typically haven't in my time covering the Chicago Bears, and that is openly questioning coaching decisions. "

Most Bears fans would have been more than happy with a 4-3 start through the first seven games of the season before the 2024 campaign. It's hard to claim that this team is playing well below expectations.
At the same time, when the players start turning on the coaching staff, that is generally hard to come back from. Let's hope things don't take a turn for the worse in the locker room ahead of Week 9 clash against the Cardinals.
