After the Chicago Bears second preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals the roster is starting to come into shape. Who were some of the biggest winners from the game?
Biggest Winners from Chicago Bears Preseason Loss to Cincinnati Bengals
Salvon Ahmed
It is only eight carries, but the 6.6 yards per carry that Ahmed is averaing is much better than Roschon Johnson at 3.8. That does not include Ahmed having 69 receiving yards to four by Johnson.
Ahmed needed to show himself as a pass blocker and special teams performer. He had two pass protection reps and did well. He also had five snaps on punt coverage, a new role for him. Is that enough to make the team?
Malik Muhammad
Muhammad has almost completely played the slot in training camp. He has 51 snaps in the slot and 16 snaps on the outside. He started in the slot for a second week and looked solid. Cam Lewis might be shifting back to safety soon if Muhammad continues this transition.
Kentavius Street
Street has continued to get the same exact treatment as if he were a starter. He plays with the starters and gets pulled when the starters do. He seems to be the defined backup to Grady Jarrett and his roster spot is locked down.
Jamree Kromah
Kromah is competing with Daniel Hardy and Marcus Davenport for the last edge spot. It is safe to say that he has outplayed Hardy in the preseason. Kromah has eight pressures and two sacks while Hardy has two pressures and no sacks. Is this enough to push Davenport as well?
Skyler Thomas
The rookie UDFA from Oregon State is in a thin safety room, giving him a good chance to make the roster. He had an interception and was overall sound in his preseason performance. He will be tough to cut.

Jordan van den Berg
The rookie sixth-round pick flashed and showed why the team selected him despite limited draft buzz. Now, he will have a chance to compete for a role in Week 1.
The Bears still have one preseason game left, but Saturday’s loss helped bring several roster battles into sharper focus. For a handful of players on the bubble, one more strong week could be enough to turn preseason momentum into a spot on the 53-man roster.
