5. D'Andre Swift, RB

This one may be the most surprising of the bunch, but there is a surely a world where it happens. Swift was the first free agent signed last year, but did not really blow anyone away in Chicago in his first season.

He finished the season with 959 yards rushing and six touchdowns. He also added 42 receptions for 386 yards.

He was not terrible by any means, but also struggled heavily rushing between the tackles and has only truly excelled in his career thus far when he was behind one of the best lines in football with the Eagles.

Ben Johnson was with the Lions when they traded Swift to the Eagles during the 2023 draft after the Lions surprised everyone taking Jahmyr Gibbs with their 12th overall pick. The move was questioned at the time, but Gibbs is now one of the league's best running backs on one of the league's best offenses. Will Ben Johnson ship Swift off once again to select his back in this year's draft?

Swift is a solid running back, but there is a reason he has been on three different teams in five years. If he was truly viewed as a top back, someone would have kept him around longer.

This year's draft class is stacked at running back with as many as 30 prospects with draftable grades according to most reports. Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, Kaleb Johnson, TreVeyon Henderson, Dylan Sampson, and Quinshon Judkins are all guys projected to go in the first three rounds.

The Bears have bigger needs in the trenches before they get cute with a running back draft pick, but if they are able to shore that up there is a world where Johnson selects a back he can feature in the offense and Swift is traded once again in his career.
