5 Chicago Bears Raising Their Stock in Week 3
Dillon Thieneman
Week 3 was the best game the Chicago Bears saw from their first-round safety. It helps that he recorded an interception in the end zone. He turned a potential touchdown for the Eagles into a key play for the Bears.
It was also by far the fewest yards he allowed in coverage. When adding in his six tackles and two run stops, it was an all-around strong game.
Cam Lewis
Lewis has been asked to do a lot for the Bears this year. In the first two weeks, he spent most of his time as a safety. However, the team was without Tyrique Stevenson, and they had Xavier Woods start at safety.
So, the team pushed rookie Malik Muhammad to the outside and moved Lewis from safety into the slot. Lewis was excellent in the new role. Being asked to change positions so often is tough, but that is why the Bears signed him.
Austin Booker
Booker has not made a big impact in the first two games. He was not fully healthy and was limited in Week 2. However, he came back in Week 3 and had the best game of his career. Booker recorded a pressure, two run stops, and he forced a fumble. He was involved in an early turnover that helped the Bears establish their lead.
Chicago is going to need more from him, but it was a good sign to see him so active against the Eagles.
Kalif Raymond
Raymond has been a revelation for the Bears. He led the Bears in receiving for the second of three weeks. So far, he has 19 receptions for 214 yards. Both marks lead the team. His familiarity with Ben Johnson might have led to more work than expected, but being this productive through three weeks is downright impressive.
Luther Burden
Burden also had the best game of his 2026 season. He hauled in five passes for 63 yards and added a touchdown. He is averaging 1.86 yards per route run this year. It has been a touch quieter than expected, but he has been solid.
