3 Most Likely Bears Draft Targets After Securing Another Top-10 Pick
The Bears ended the season with a 5-12 record, which landed them the 10th overall selection in the 2025 Draft. A year ago, they held the 1st and 9th selections and used them on Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze. The hope is that this tandem is a staple of the Bears for years to come. They will be looking to add another blue-chip player this year with the 10th overall pick, unless of course they trade up or down.
We are still months away from the Draft and lots of things will surely change, but initial draft boards are being made and the top-10 picks are usually consensus in some way, shape or form. Unfortunately, there are not as many quarterback prospects with first-round projections as last year which means the odds of an elite non-quarterback coming off the board before 10 are more likely.
As it stands now, Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward look to be the only locks at quarterback to go in the first round. Quarterback-needy teams will not likely be looking to move up in order to get anyone so we may not see any trades into the top-10 unless someone feels very strongly about a different position that is available. The Bears have plenty of needs on the roster, but quarterback and wide receiver are obviously not among them. Let's take a look at 3 possibilities for the Bears' first selection.
1. Will Campbell, G/T LSU
There doesn't seem to be a can't-miss tackle in this year's draft similar to Joe Alt last year, but Campbell looks to be the first offensive lineman off the board. The three-year starter and 2024 Consensus All-American has had a very successful collegiate career at LSU and was the first offensive lineman to be named the team's top playmaker in their history. He can bring a much-needed nasty presence to the Bears offensive line.
The decision on Braxton Jones is yet to be confirmed, but even if he is brought back the offensive line will need additions. Campbell initially projects as a guard at the next level, but should definitely be able to move to tackle when the time presents itself. It is looking more and more that the often-injured Teven Jenkins will not be returning so a left side of Braxton Jones and Will Campbell would be music to Caleb Williams' ears.
Arm length is something Bears fans will read plenty about leading up to the draft and Campbell does not possess the ideal length you look for at left tackle. However, this should not sway the team to look elsewhere due to the need for replacing both guard and the center this offseason. The interior offensive line should be priority number one for the Bears and Will Campbell is the epitome of what this team needs. If they fall in love with him in the process, they might even need to move up if other teams are looking at him as well. His versatility makes him a top-10 lock at this point in the draft process.
