The Bears will travel to Washington this week for a game against the Commanders and hopefully 2nd overall pick, Jayden Daniels. Daniels got banged up on a run to begin his game last week and his status is still up in the air for this week.

The pure Bears fan I am sure would not mind going up against Marcus Mariota, but the football fan in general is dying to see the top two picks in the draft go at it. The NFL knows this as well, which is why this game was flexed to the 3:25pm slot instead of the initial 12pm.

The storyline for this game will obviously be about the quarterbacks, but these teams are both excelling right now as well. The Commanders currently lead the NFC East at 5-2. The Bears at 4-2 may be in last place in the NFC North, but that is only due to the division being the best in football right now with every other team having five wins. This is a huge game for both teams and can likely decipher who is for real and who is not.

Let's get crazy and look at three bold predictions that can come to fruition this Sunday.

1. Caleb Williams Throws 5 Touchdowns

Williams has gotten better in each start this season, especially after two tough outings against the Titans and Texans to begin the year. He seems to be getting a lot more comfortable in Shane Waldron's offense and executing it highly. We can definitely point to the level of competition being subpar the last few weeks playing the Rams, Panthers, and Jaguars but this is the NFL and good players capitalize in those situations.

He is coming off of his best game as a pro where he threw for 226 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Jaguars across the pond. He will now get another weak defense in the Commanders and the drive to show everyone why he deservedly was picked over Daniels. The Commanders defense ranks 30th in opposing passer rating (107.4), 27th in completion percentage (70.2), and 28th in passing touchdowns allowed (12). Their offense has the tools to keep the game close and provide scoring so the Bears will need to keep their foot on the gas.

Caleb has made it known that he listens to things the media say and sets goals for himself. I can assure you this game has been circled on his schedule to go out and prove to anyone arguing the Bears should have taken Jayden Daniels first overall instead of him. Williams wins the shootout with 5 touchdowns.
