The Atlanta Falcons had absolutely nothing to do with the injury to Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams in Week 2 or the subsequent ridicule he faced in its aftermath, but they're going to pay the price for everyone else's sins all the same.
Williams is officially back in the starting lineup against the Falcons in Atlanta for a Week 6 matchup that is critically important for Chicago following a blowout road loss to the Green Bay Packers that dropped the Bears to a record of 3-2 on the season.

"Caleb Williams took his normal capacity of first team reps for 3 straight practices and will start against the Falcons," Courtney Cronin of ESPN reported via X on Saturday, October 17. "After 3 straight games on the sideline, Williams is back for the Bears."
After being sidelined for nearly a month, Williams had a chip on his shoulder during a press conference this week. The QB called out media members for what he claimed was misreporting on his hamstring injury. Williams then added that the ridicule he faced for leaving the field in tears and on a medical cart didn't bother him, though his edgey and defiant attitude indicated otherwise.
At that point, Williams then shared the following video to his TikTok account, which made his feelings quite clear ahead of his NFL return.

Caleb Williams, Bears offense will roll Falcons in Atlanta
Prediction 1: Caleb Williams will throw for more than 300 yards for just the third time in 22 games played since the start of the 2025 season.
Williams is itching to become the first Bears QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a single season, which is unlikely to happen in 2026 because of the three games he has missed due to injury already this year.
However, with running back Kyle Monangai out for the second straight week and the Bears coming off their worst rushing performance this season with just 81 yards on 24 carries, Chicago will look to the air early and often against a Falcons defense that surrenders more than 248 passing yards per contest through five weeks, which ranks 27th in the NFL.
Williams will spread the ball around and eclipse 300 yards passing for the first time this season, something he accomplished just twice last year: once during the team's playoff win over the Green Bay Packers in January and another time in late December against the San Francisco 49ers.
Prediction 2: Chicago will lead the NFL in scoring this week.
The Bears have arguably been most impressive on offense when controlling the clock through domination in the ground game. But in one such contest against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1, Chicago still managed 59 total points despite rushing the football 39 times for 291 yards.
If Williams goes off, it should mean explosive plays are there for the team all day in both the pass and run games. Chicago might not score 50 again in Week 6, but the Bears should end up somewhere in the mid-30s to low-40s, which will put them at (or very near) the top of the league in points scored this weekend.
Prediction 3: Colston Loveland will buck the trends and blow up the Falcons' defense for a huge day that includes two touchdowns.
Loveland has yet to find the end zone this season. Meanwhile, Atlanta's defense is pretty solid against opposing tight ends, allowing rival TE position groups just six catches for approximately 58 yards receiving per game on average. The Falcons have given up three touchdowns to opposing tight ends across five games.
Chicago's offense took off in the second half of last season when Loveland, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, found his form. After a slow start, he will find it again on Sunday. Not only will Loveland put up the most yardage he has in any game this season, which means at least 58 yards receiving, but he will score twice in a Bears' blowout victory in Atlanta.
