This trade package gives the Chicago White Sox promising young starting pitchers.

Getz must come away with one of the Reds’ two top pitching prospects. Lowder has more upside and is a younger than Phillips so that is why he should be the target.

Petty is a former first-round pick of the Minnesota Twins. He came to the Reds in the Sonny Gray deal.

He dominated High-A ball with a 1.95 ERA in 16 starts. Petty threw eight shutout innings in Double-A.

He was known for hitting 100mph in high school, but he has cut down the velocity to the mid-90s.

Stoudt is 26 (which makes him the perfect Sox prospect) who had his career originally derailed by Tommy John surgery. He did start two games last year for the Reds and got roughed up. He also had a high ERA in Triple-A.

He does have velocity. He must get better at finding the strike zone. Stoudt could be a bullpen option as the Chicago White Sox need help there.

Pineda is the scratch-off type prospect. He is the 28th-ranked prospect in the Reds system. The outfielder is just 19 with the ability to hit 25 home runs a year in the Majors. He has the potential to be an excellent right fielder.

He had a .273/.360/.400 slash line at Rookie-ball.
