3 trade packages the Cincinnati Reds can offer the Chicago White Sox for Dylan Cease

The Chicago White Sox get a big-league shortstop they can move to second in this deal.
The Reds could be motivated to move McLain despite him playing well in 89 games during his first big-league season. They need to find an everyday spot for Marte. Combine that need along with a bidding war and that is what could force the Reds to offer up McLain because he can play second.
Getz should try to see if he can the 24-year-old infielder. He had a .290/.357/.507 slash line with 14 home runs, and a wRC+ of 128 in 2023. An oblique injury cut short his season.
He finished with a 3.9 defensive fWAR. He is not eligible for arbitration until 2026.
Phillips is Cincinnati’s fourth-ranked prospect. The pitcher is the 68th-best overall prospect in baseball. He made five starts for the Reds and got hit hard. That should not take away from his potential and a fastball that can hit 99mph. Phillips also mixes in two different versions of a breaking ball along with a changeup.
Jorge is a 20-year-old left-handed hitting prospect. He is the Reds ninth-best prospect who hit 12 home runs between Low-A and High-A ball in 2023.
Hendrick is a former first-round pick. This would be a reclamation project.
He has struggled to hit with a career .210/.271/.381 slash line in three minor league seasons. He has yet to get above High-A ball.
Hendrick might need a system change to unlock the potential in his powerful left-handed bat. He has a good arm to play right field.
