More Blackhawks losses are coming, but that’s okay.

Is this a loser mentality? It’s possible. But it’s more about accepting where the team is in the process. I mentioned in the opening how important it is to not look at this season and these games are only based on wins and losses.

It is about the development of the young talent in preparation for becoming a contending team for the Stanley Cup. This team is going to lose games, that is where we are.

If you are only looking at the box score and you see this 3-1 loss, of course, you’re going to think it was bad. But Bedard made plays. Some defensive steals kept the team in it for most of the game. We saw, for the most part, what we’re here to see this season.

Bedard, Reichel, and the rest of this young core are going to figure it out.

These veterans are going to fill out the roster and look to the future. The glimpses of greatness are there it feels like almost every game, if just for a couple of seconds.

Patience is what we are going to preach as this all gets figured out. This is a repetitive statement, especially in Chicago. But this feels like it’s going to be worth the wait.
