The Linebacker Group

Tremaine Edmunds returned to the lineup after being out the last the past two games with an injury. He had eight tackles and an interception.

T.J. Edwards had a team-high nine tackles and also picked off Goff.

Jack Sanborn had a sack, a tackle for a loss, and four tackles. The linebacker corps made plays and showed why the back seven is the defense’s strength.

Rasheem Green

The box score shows he only had one tackle and one quarterback hit. He was active all day rushing the passer.

He may not have sacked the quarterback like Montez Sweat. Green’s rush rattled Goff a few times, especially on Tyrique Stevenson’s first career interception.

Here is whose stock is down.

Jaylon Johnson

It was not the kind of day Johnson wanted to have in his hopes of getting paid in the offseason. He had a pass interference penalty that would have been costly had Edwards not bailed him out two plays later with a pick.

He had two opportunities for interceptions, with one he could have taken to the house, and let the ball slip through his fingers.

The lack of turnovers is the one thing that has made it hard to determine how much Johnson should get. Jaylon is one of the best cover corners in the game, but he cannot let the ball squeeze through his grasp especially when Goff threw it right to him on two attempts.

Tyler Scott

The rookie wide receiver had a costly fumble that wasted T.J. Edwards’ interception.

He then had a chance to seal the victory for the Chicago Bears when Fields found him deep on 3rd and 9 with 2:51 left in the game.

Scott slowed up on the route and the ball glanced off his fingertips. The Bears had to punt, and the Lions took the ball down the field on the next possession for the winning score.
