The Chicago White Sox get two budding stars in this package.

The Sox would probably have to settle for three players back in this deal. Plus, this potential package is a fantasy, but it still cannot hurt to ask.

Pepiot was supposed to start the 2023 season in the rotation, but an injury scratched those plans. He was unable to pitch until July and started just three games. He did post a 2.14 ERA and a .76 WHIP last year.

He also started seven games in 2022. The Dodgers could use a young pitcher with all the turnover going on in their rotation.

If they want Cease, it bears repeating that the Sox need a young, good starting pitcher back. Plus, the Dodgers can always sign more starting pitching with the unlimited spending power.

Lux is a litmus test to see how desperate the Dodgers are.

He missed time last season with a knee injury but is viewed as their shortstop of the future. He still has three years of team control. The lefty had a 114 wRC+ in 129 games and was a 3.0 fWAR player.

He can play both second and short. Again, getting him is unlikely but a guy can dream.

Knack is Los Angeles’ ninth-best prospect who is close to pitching in the big leagues. He started 12 games for Double-A Tulsa and posted a 2.20 ERA. Knack was promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City and started 10 more games.

He finished with a 2.93 ERA. The righty features a fastball that can get up to 97mph, a good changeup, slider, and curveball.

This deal would bolster the rotation and the lineup. The chances of getting Pepiot and Knack would be good, but getting Lux means the Dodgers really want Cease.
